Privacy
Your details. A clear purpose.
The editorial pages use no analytics or advertising trackers. Search and filters run in your browser. The site does not set first-party cookies or save your contact details in browser storage.
The footwear & VIP list
When signup is available and you submit the form, the name and contact methods you choose—email, mobile number and/or Instagram handle—are sent securely to an AWS-hosted signup service. At least one contact method and your agreement to receive updates are required. Do not submit anyone else’s details.
Desmond Rhodes / HoodHappy can use those details to share footwear release news, in-person drop information and VIP invitations. Your consent wording and version, signup time, selected contact channels and the website origin are recorded with your entry. Contact details are not published in the rider archive or made readable through the public signup endpoint.
Joining the list does not guarantee a purchase opportunity, product, reservation or invitation. The signup itself does not send a marketing email, text or Instagram message. Details are not automatically verified when you join.
Keeping and removing your details
The configured contact store expires entries after two years. Expired records are removed asynchronously, and recovery backups may retain earlier versions for up to 35 days. Access is limited through the owner’s AWS account permissions.
To opt out, correct your details or request deletion, contact @hoodhappynyc and identify the contact method you used to join. Only share the details needed to locate your signup. Any later messaging service may provide its own unsubscribe options.
Security and hosting
The signup service validates submissions and limits request rates. A temporary daily hash derived from the request IP address is used for rate limiting; the signup application does not store the raw IP address with a contact. Rate-limit records expire after two days. Application request bodies and contact details are not written to function logs. AWS may process ordinary delivery, security and operational logs to serve and protect the site.
Video and outbound links
YouTube players load only after you choose “Play film on this page.” The player uses youtube-nocookie.com. Playback connects to YouTube, which may process technical information and set its own cookies. The third-party archival mirror opens on Rutube’s own website. Music links open SoundCloud, Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube. Those services, Instagram, podcast platforms and archive links are governed by their own privacy policies.
